“We write to taste life twice, in the moment and in retrospect.”
– Anaïs Nin
poetry blog: words in the universe
found amongst the lost
“WE ARE LIKE ISLANDS IN THE SEA, SEPARATE ON THE SURFACE BUT CONNECTED IN THE DEEP.” WJ
Writing to be true to oneself. To voice out the unspeakable. To transform the dim realities into the beamiest of words. To connect the dots. To question oneself. To reflect upon the universe’s most bewitching mysteries. To take into account and consider each potential viewpoint. For a shiny light of hope in the darkness. For writing has forever been the arrow against every trouble encountered. And because for too long I have let myself down as regards to it. Writing. Asking questions. And keeping an open mind, always.
Writer : likely the most suitable word to describe me. Perhaps that’s all you, readers, need to know about me for now.
You may know me as the high-heeled papergirl, the girl who posts clearly too many photos of herself on social media, or merely as Giulia, a random being somewhere in the universe.
Tales, for I rejoice in writing stories. Lostness, for I am still a lost being trying to figure it all out, life’s mysteries and the peculiar prophecies of the universe.
